The HoopScoop
Valentine's Day is right around the corner. For some, this means grumbling and cursing at the doily clad windows and balloon, bear & flower vendors that line our streets. For others, it marks a special time to celebrate LOVE... with a doily, balloon, bear, and some overpriced flowers.

Instead of fighting it, why not revisit the very meaning of Valentine's Day? The Ladies of Hoopnotica invite you to turn up the heat this season, and add some sizzle to your spin. Get all dolled up, and treat your special someone to a HoopTease! Of course, the best part about Hooping is that even when fully clothed the simple act in front of your partner is an alluring tease in and of itself! Hoopnotic Hoopdance is so sensual; so playful... a perfect alternative to dinner and a movie.

Don't take yourself too seriously, and remember to have fun!

I began hooping recently after seeing a Hoopnotica segment on TV. All exercise programs boast about their health benefits and amazing results. Hooping just looked like more fun than most of the dozens I've tried. For me it is not only fun, but therapeutic and the "boasts" made seem to be true for once! I have had fibromyalgia (muscular arthritis) since I was a child. Exercises that strengthen the core and improve posture - keeping everything in line - are very important for those with fibromyalgia. Most exercises to do this are painful or impossible to do because of other muscular pains and problems. Hooping is all gain and no pain! My posture is better, my back and hips feel more in line, and it feels like fun instead of work! I'm a fiber artist and have a "Mandala" art series. Mandala is Sanskrit for "healing circle". The hoop is my own personal mandala. Thanks again Ladies of Hoopnotica - I've definitely found myself in the hoop! ~ Kim

The HoopTease!
Plan to "show off some of your sweet moves" to someone special this year, for a unique twist. For optimal results, we offer you the following tips for a successful "HoopTease":

1. Slow Hooping is essential- there is no need to bust out your fastest corkscrews. Hoopdance is a powerful, sensual force- and a little goes a long way.

2. Practice Safe Hooping~ Know your distance! There's nothing to ruin the mood like a swift hoop to the face.
