This month Hoopnotica launches a new version of our DVD, which is brought to you by the really wonderful people at Acacia.
We simply cannot praise this company enough for the types of quality programming they produce (Shiva Rea, Dr. Andrew Weil) and the consciousness with which they produce it.
From now on, you will see our DVDs popping up in other places that you shop, but with a new look and added footage. From NetFlix to your local Borders Book Store, Hoopnotica is now available well... everywhere.

"Last week I hurried through dinner so that I could run outside and play. I am a 61 year old woman who has had cardiac bypass surgery, back surgery, knee surgery and elbow surgery. I was a little nervous about my capacity for learning to hoop but I became 'hoopnitized' in no time.
I received my Hoopnotica DVDs at the end of May. Watching the DVDs is so helpful, so beautiful. They are superbly made, well scripted and the troubleshooting section inevitably addresses the problems I experience. I have already increased my strength on my non-dominant side and I can now, just 5 weeks since starting to hoop, do Corkscrews!
Hooping is, quite simply, pure fun. I love it. I want to share it. I give hoops to friends and family and to the kids and parents in my neighborhood. I carry extra hoops with me and encourage others to join in the fun! I send my thanks to Hoopnotica! You all are my inspiration!" ~ Anne

Tossing!
Once you get through the fear factor- this move adds a lot of spunk to your practice. Tossing can be fun and visually impressive- so here are some tips for catching air with your Hoop. Make sure you have plenty of space around and above you for this move- try it in a large open park or at the beach!
1. Start small- don't toss to the moon on your first try- just toss a foot above your hand and then gradually increase as you get more comfortable.
2. Make sure your arm is lifting straight up in the air when you toss it from the webbing in-between your thumb & forefinger. If you lift to the right or left- that's where your hoop will go!
